The Make a Wish Portrait Special

…I'm not sure what happened first, the tear carving a slow and steady path down my cheek towards an already splatter marked corner of my desk or the realization that most of the places that these children who are suffering with life threatening illnesses were "wishing" to see, I had already seen.  A movie premier, a show, Disney, Hawaii, Jamaica…  The list goes on and on.  Moments like this snap me back into reality and it's hard to convey the humble feelings that I have and the overwhelming gratefulness towards charities.

That's why for this Holiday Season I am teaming up with my friends and fellow photographers Mark Gardner of Mark Gardner Photography and Nicole Polk of Nicole Polk Photography for our Make A Wish Portrait Promo!!!

Help Make a difference for a child in the Philadelphia/Susquehanna Valley area.
The Deal…. For the First 8 clients to contact either one of us and book a portrait/holiday/Baby /any reason session at the reduced rate of $250 you get ::::::Drum Roll ::::::

That's right folks!  100 percent donation baby!  I've done a ton of research on charities and I'm happy to say that this chapter of the Make a Wish foundation has received a 4 star ranking which is the highest that you can receive and they are among only 5% of the charities rated to receive this rating for 5 consecutive years.  The rating means a lot to me because it confirms that the charity exceeds industry standards and outperforms most charities in its Cause.  A large portion of the funds collected actually go towards the cause they represent and that is huge!

So contact us now to book your session – limited availability

  • Cindy: Thanks to everyone who participated in the sessions and for your donations! (12.22.2009 02:43pm)

The smell of the salt air beckons me as I approach their beach house.  I am very excited to meet Amy and Vinny's new little bundle.  A day of firsts for little Julia…. Today will be her first photo session and her first trip to the beach!  We couldn't have asked for a nicer evening.  A gentle breeze blowing as the amber rays of the still warm late summer sun descends.  We make our way to the nearly deserted beach and spend some time hanging out until the sun is only a memory.   I often feel myself compelled to analyze this evolution of a relationship as I engage in my sessions.  I  notice a consistency that has endured since the day I shot Amy and Vinny's wedding, although I am sure there are many!  They still look at each other and behave in a way that is so very much in love and I see this look that they share with each other  when they look at Julia.  She is most certainly the apple of their eye!  Congrats to you both, it is so obvious that Julia is beautiful and healthy and very well loved!

It is effortless how Chase lifts and carries Hunter into the next room and with complete confidence and security undresses him and arranges his son in various poses for the photo shoot.  I'm amazed at how secure and comfortable he is, for no other reason than my experience with most new father's is that they are nervous around their new baby and exceedingly gentle so as not to break them.  I could feel the calm in the air amongst all three of them.  Mother, Father & Son…  Very infrequently do newborns make it through the session without crying.  It's very stressful for them, sleeping, eating, waking, being handled, naked, cold, etc… Not Hunter.  Calm as can be, peeking at me with his adorable little face.  This doesn't surprise me though because you see, from the first moment I met Sara she was so sweet and nice and wonderful and now that I have met Chase it's very easy to see that between the both of them the gene pool is very strong when it comes to these particular traits.  I wish you both the best on this venture as new parents I have a feeling that you'll be just fine!

Love the little piggies.

A light knock on the hospital room door followed by a "come in," I see feet propped on the end of the bed and figure that Debbie must be relaxing since she just gave birth less than 18 hours ago.  I smile as I see Chris in the bed and at that moment Debbie walks out of the bathroom looking as refreshed as anyone I have ever seen.  Seriously?  Didn't you just have a baby? =)  Smiling as always and with the most pleasant of demeanors, that's just Deb.  Chris leaves to go get his new baby girl and bring her in for her very first photo shoot.

Here she is!  Oh Michaela, so sweet and posing for us like you've been doing it all your life.  I can already tell that your daddy is completely smitten with you and mommy can't stop smiling.

Welcome to this world, I know you are in great hands.

Your mom had this plaque hanging in her room as a child and now it's yours.  It's very true you know, girls can do anything!

I just love little tiny toes =)

You hear his voice and feel him holding you and you are instantly calm.  You know you are daddy's little girl.  It's so sweet to see how your gaze is met with such loving and tender eyes.

 Little hands are adorable too!

 Ahhh Diaper changes, fun, fun.

I just L-O-V-E the way this image feels.  Chris gently kisses Debbies and she is looking at this most perfect little bundle.

Yup she's a star, 1 day old and already full of smiles.

One of my favorites from the day.  As Michaela reaches her hands towards her daddy the smile can't help but escape.

Congratulations to two very wonderful people and the start of your new family.  I can't wait to continue documenting the milestones of your life and I look forward to it!

Time…  You blink and lives completely change.  It seems like just yesterday that I was shooting Lanay and Brian's wedding and now this adorable little bundle of joy has completely captivated them both =)  She's precious and beautiful and has already wrapped mommy and daddy in a warm and fuzzy love blanket!  I love the feel of these first family portraits.  This moment has now past but I know that they will look back on them many times in the future and I'm sure that each and every time they will be transported back to these early days and how they instantly fell in love with their baby girl.

There are times I find that words are just not enough.  Often I find myself making connections with clients that I am truly blessed to have made.  This completely reinforces my desire to shoot and document life.  I met Debbie and Chris  at her sister Melanie's wedding.  This was my introduction to their family.  A totally fun and loving, wacky good and overall amazing family…  Since shooting Melanie's wedding I have had the pleasure of working with Melanie on a few corporate shoots, shooting her other sister Tina's Engagement session and recent wedding (her blog images coming this week) and now the maternity session for Debbie.  Every time I get to hang out with any of them I find myself so welcome and the trust that they have in me and my staff fuels that creative fire!!!  I get so excited and I just want to thank you all for inspiring me to make images that you will love and for being the kind of clients that I wish I could clone.  Debbie and Chris were so fun and up for anything.  They are just a very warm and loving couple and I know that they are gonna be great parents.  Right now I'm very excited to be on "The Call List," because any day now we will be welcoming a new addition to their family.  I'll be going to the hospital to capture some of these first moments and we will be creating their baby story in a beautiful book.  My wheels are spinning!  Oooh Ahhh it's gonna be great!

Here's the happy family!  Any day now we will be welcoming another little bundle of joy!
